Good food - great beer - what's not to like? 😀👏🍻

Fantastic service - very friendly and welcoming staff and great beer. We wanted to try them all, so the server recommend that we get a flight (sampling of beers 1-5). They were all delcious! Such a little gem. Also, great music!

Selection of 8 taps and 4 of them made right there - great! Service is good and kind, selection of five amazing pizzas hand made, and some small appetisers. 12 sears at tables and about 8 up at the bar to chat.

It is my belief that beer and pizza is the food and drink of Champions and Oriental Brewery truley do them them both justice! We didn't come to Japan for beer but we were so glad to stop off here for a relaxing afternoon of cold beer, excellent friendly service and great pizza. Thoroughly recommended.

Great little place. Nice atmosphere and chilled out music. Pizza is okay, but good by the usual Japanese pizza standards. Tried all three of their own beers that were on tap and enjoyed them all. An English menu is available.

After visiting the area we stopped in here. Ordered #3 Yuzu Ale on tap, Margherita pizza, and fried chicken. Everything delicious. This is day 6 in Japan and by far the best meal we've had, and our first stop was Tokyo. They spoke English, had English menu and if you bring your receipt back to any location within 3 days you get french fries free. We will go back before we leave town.

Friendly staffs. English speaking. Price is not cheap but worth for what you gonna get. This is a small tap room, they craft their own beers. Really decent stuffs. Good pizza also

Great little spot in Kanazawa - fairly small restaurant and visited in rugby season so busy. But great service, wide variety of beers and tasty pizza. Would recommend beer #2 and #4

Popped in for a beer here on a quiet afternoon and got a couple rounds! The Belgian-style yuzu fruit ale was DELICIOUS! Wish they had a happy hour, prices were a little steep (700-850 yen for a glass) but comparatively not the worst around.

Great little venue to quench your thirst at. The session IPA and tea stout are superb craft beers amongst their impressive collection. Funny banter with the English speaking friendly bar staff. The only thing on the food menu I tried was deep fried lotus root as it was the only thing I hadn't tried elsewhere and it was exceptional. Masa recommended some excellent places for dinner too which turned out to be the best meal we've eaten in Kanazawa. Overall, an exceptional venue of you need to scratch that craft beer itch.

We ordered a pint of single hop citra, a glass of non alcoholic sparkling wine and fried chicken. We thought that the drinks and snacks were alright, not much to rave about.

Only had one beer but that was good. Service was ok. Price also ok. Music a bit loud

With weary feet, waiting for the bus after walking around Higashiyama, we spied OBC across the street. Our eyes met and that's all we needed, we were across the street and in the door before we could say "Let's go."We tried a number of brews and their gyoza. The gyoza were very good, and the brews were also good. They were not medal- winners but they had charcter and taste. It's a nice place to stop and chill out.

My oolong tea was delicious and my companions went back for another round of beer so it must have been nice! Nice atmosphere and nice friendly staff

Nice ambiance and great choice of music. The perfect place to relax after visiting Higashi-chaya-gai. I had their kaga roasted tea stout and my husband had Akazukin and the black IPA from rhe Kyoto brewery. We ate different side dishes and they were amazinly good.

Amazing place for craft beer! Good selection and great service with such an amazing attention for detail to serve you the perfect pour of beer. Had the best stout until now at this place, the dark chestnut ale which is the highest ranking Japanese beer on untappd, guess I got lucky finding this place with this offer on tap. Their own kaga tea stout is pretty good as well.

Great little brewery located near the HIgashiyama Higashi Chaya district. Good range of their own craft brewed beers and some from other Japanese craft breweries. Friendly staff that also spoke english.

Good beer and better music (also appealing food, but we didn't try it). Almost like a european bar! We enjoyed very much!!!

We were greeted by really friendly and knowledgeable staff. lovely and warm ambience, the beers (Winter Magic and Kaga Roasted Tea Stout) were awesome:)

Pizza was good. Beer was good. A great find in a tourist town full of green tea and gold leaf bits in your food. We tried the Yuzu beer. Tart and fruity.

Great brewery with decent in-house and guest beer selection on tap. Some jucy IPA and double IPA,an awarded Belgian ale and a couple of stouts. If you want to take a break from Japanese food, this is the place. Pizza and Japanese fried chicken are also yummy!

After living in Southern California for more than 20 years, I have come across many great American craft beers. America still have the best craft beers. I have high expectations and Yuzu Ale is one of my favorite. Great food as well. The staffs here are very friendly and excellent service. I come here on every trip I’ve taken to Kanazawa. Highly recommend.

About a 10 minute walk from where we're staying. Home brew drinks are the best we have had so far in Japan. The fries where great and didnt need any sauce. The fried chicken with the lemon was perfect and the pizza is the best my wife and I had ever had. The server even gave us a free drink because it took a long time for the pizza to get done to his standards. 100% if you are passing through the area and are looking for a good place to stop. This is it.

What a wonderful find! It's New Year's Day, nothing is open but this place... But, even if everything was open, it is still a gem. Friendly staff, craft beer (try their own-brewed!), chips, pickles, pizza. It's the perfect break. Go here and support these guys!

Great place for some craft beer. Good selection of various kinds, from the award winning Belgian White with local Japanese citrus, through to the stout with roasted green tea. They have some great tasty snacks too - try the rather unusual combination of some gyoza with beer yeast fries!

Brilliant friendly knowledgeable staff, and really great beers. Some of the nicest and most interesting beers I've had in Japan. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Small selection of quality beers brewed on-site. Dynamite pizza. It seemed a bit more expensive than a few craft beer spots we’ve been to in Japan, but the quality of beer and food can be justified and it’s still reasonable. It’s close to quaint Geisha district and the river so it’s nice to take a break here between exploring.

Great local IPA, good teriyaki pizza sounds weird but tastes great!! I’m from Portland and I know IPA’s and pizza.

Awesome pizza & beer!! Plus the guy working there is super friendly & a serious hustler. He was doing everything himself both times I visited from rolling out dough to making the pizzas themselves, pouring pints, answering questions, manning the fryer, managing about 15 customers, etc. Such a great spot!

Stumbled upon this awesome little brewery when walking through the city. They brew 3 of their own beers, and have a variety of other local options on tap as well. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting who loves craft beer (and they have some yummy looking pizza too!)

Great craft beer, good food, and brilliant atmosphere. Staff were really friendly, and some spoke fluent english. This place is a gem, and well worth stopping at! In all honesty, I'd plan a stop in Kanazawa just to drop in here!

Amazing restaurant inside micro brewery. Try french fries (not on the picture :-)). Ice cream with sweet potatoes might seem as a weird combination but also very tasty.

Great beer. Not much a fan of Japanese beer, especially from big brand beer companies, but this is great. And probably the best French fries I ever had in japan.

Good food and beer in a nice environment. Strongly recommend for a break while visiting this area of Kanazawa.

Nice place for local craft beer, they have a good selection and their own brew. Snacks are very good too, they are all freshly prepared. We had some fried gyoza, fried chicken and fries, they are all pretty decent.

I loved this place. After a very disappointing pizza elsewhere in Kanazawa I was very pleased to find Oriental Brewing. Their pizzas really hit the spot. Their beer selection is also very cool, with some self brewed beers made with local ingredients amongst other regional choices. Music choice was also superb. Highly recommended for dropping in.

Average IPA but amazing Yuzu fruity beer

I can't give this place high enough praise... the best bar in Japan!!! Certainly the best pizza I've ever had!! So tasty! Very relaxed and chilled out vibe. Great selection of craft beers as well as warding music. Lovely atmosphere if you feel like a chilled out pint. You HAVE to try their pizza because it's SO good! They say their secret ingredient is love, and I believe it's true. Amazing.

A great selection of craft beer. A nice place to warm up with a drink on a cold winters day. They have a great pizza menu and offer flights of beer also so you'll get to try all the beers they offer. English menu available and credit card accepted. Very friendly staff with a chill atmosphere.
